The Windsor Express have signed veteran power forward Lester Prosper to their training camp roster. The team made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-10, 240-pound big man got his start in the NBL Canada with the Express during the 2012-13 season, averaging 7.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 24 games. Prosper was traded to the Oshawa Power and Moncton Miracles towards the end of in his NBLC campaign. He ranked ninth in the league in blocks per game (1.1) and tenth in rebounds per game (7.5).

Shortly after leaving Canada, Prosper was selected in the sixth round of the NBA D-League Draft by the Maine Red Claws. Despite not finding a job in the D-League, he took his talents to the British Basketball League and then the Spanish third league.

Prosper, 28, heads back into Windsor after a standout season in Mexico's CIBACOPA. He averaged 15.5 points and 9.0 rebounds in 12 appearances for Trigueros de Ciudad Obregon. Earlier in the year, he played with San Lázaro in the Dominican Republic.

With the addition of the British Virgin Islands native, the Express are evidently looking to add strength to their frontcourt. The team has not brought in many experienced big men in the offseason, one of its few NBLC veterans being Nick Evans. Windsor has not yet commented on the signing.
