The Orangeville A’s are bringing back a lot of familiar faces.

The franchise officially announced Nov. 12 it has re-signed point guard Rick Bodiford, guard/forward Jameson Tipping and big man Justin Moss for this upcoming season.

All three players played a key role in 2016," said the organization in a written statement. "They will look to contribute at an even higher level in 2017."

Bodiford, who is entering his third year with the A’s, is coming off a 2015-16 campaign where he averaged 9.4 points per game, four rebounds per game and two assists per game. The National Basketball League of Canada veteran has also played games for the now-defunct Laval Kebs and Mississauga Power in 2011-12.

“Man, I’m very excited to be back with a team I have a lot of experience with,” said Bodiford in an interview with the NBLC’s social media department. “We have big things coming and I’m excited to come back to be a part of it.”

Jameson Tipping, the brother of the Athlete Institute president Jesse Tipping and son of A's owner James Tipping, is also entering his third professional season with the A’s. Last season, the Brock University Badgers product averaged 6.3 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and 1.7 assists per game in 23 appearances. He had missed time last year due to injuries.

“Jameson brings size on the perimeter at six-foot-seven and soft touch from behind the three-point line,” the organization said. “Look for the sharpshooter to return to form this year.”

Moss is also returning to the club for his sophomore season in NBL Canada. He was the club’s leading scorer and rebounder as a rookie, averaging 19.5 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game. He was also the only player to appear in all 40 regular season matchups for the A’s in 2015-16.

“I’m definitely looking to do more,” said Moss in an NBLC video. “My mindset is different. I definitely want to try and go further in the playoffs this year compared to last year and be a better leader for this team.”

The franchise has not responded to multiple interview requests from NBLCentral about the signings by the time of this writing.

Orangeville will tip off their season on the road against the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans on Dec. 26. They will then play their first game at the Athlete Institute against the Windsor Express Dec. 29.
