Express partner with Windsor Lancers for Clash at the Colosseum IV

This year's Clash at the Colosseum will have triple times the action.

The Windsor Express have partnered with the University of Windsor Lancers to host a triple-header match-up at Caesars Windsor for the fourth year of the event.

In addition to the Express taking on the Kitchener-Waterloo Titans, the Windsor Lancers men's and women's basketball teams will be tipping off against the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.

This year's event marks the first time the Lancers and Express have teamed up to play on the same court.

"This game is a highlight to our season and our organization does a good job of making this game special," said Windsor Express Vice-President of Basketball Operations and head coach Bill Jones in a press release. "This year is also special because the university's men's and women's teams will play before our game. The electricity will be awesome."

Anyone who buys a ticket to the Express game will also have access to both Lancers games, according to the Express. A special discounted ticket will also be available for UWindsor students through the Lancers athletic department.

"The opportunity to play in this world class entertainment venue in a battle against Waterloo provides a unique and exciting opportunity for our basketball teams to bring our product to a wider audience," said Lancers athletic director Mike Havey.

Clash at the Colosseum IV will take place Feb. 8, 2017.

The women's Lancers team will take the court at 3 p.m. EST while the men's squad will play at 5 p.m.

The Express will tip-off against the Titans at 8 p.m.
